Sunday 24/05/2020 by Pastor Jude THE POWER OF POSITIVE AND FOCUSED RELATIONSHIPS ►Qualified relationships are those which God himself approves. Most of these relationships comes with blessings, progress, success etc. etc ►God created us to be inter-dependent and (We) Human beings can't live in isolation-without relationships. We need foused and positive relationships. ►God always operates through human beings and we must be humble enough in our relationships, because many of our blessings come through human beings. Many people with bad Character/attitude (Pride, Arrogance, wickedness, greed, selfishness, malice, backbitting, self-centeredness etc etc) have missed the blessings of God. ►Positive relationships are "Doors for Success" or "Human gates of Destiny". We should never belittle, look down, underestimate anyone...Those could be the gates God will use to bless us. Many have lost their keys to success ► A self-centered life leads to stagnation "A tree cannot make a forest" We need each other in order to survive. Inter dependency.......Read 1st Corinthians 12 ; We should make sure that they are focused and positive relationships Where we are CELEBRATED not TOLERATED ►1Thessalonians 2:8 Since we are the body of Christ,We must learn to impact others positively and We must share and Celebrate others. ► We need The spirit of Discernment to distinguish positive/Godly realtionships; and this spirit enables us make the right choices and succeed in life. The Spirit of Discernment is very important in our walk with God; ► Our actions and inactions affect our children/generations...Read 2 Samuel 9:1-9 so we should ensure the practice positive and Good/godly avtions that will impact ours positively like that of David. Read Exodus 18 Monday 25/5/2020 Pastor Jude What is in your hand? ►We need to have something in our hands so that God can multiply ►We should not neglect or underestimate what we have in our hands, even if we aspire to achieve/attain higher heights ►God used Moses' staff to do miracles Exodus 4:1-10 ►Prophet Elisha used the widow's jars small jar of oil and multiplied it so much, that she had plenty of jars to sell 2 Kings 4 Bible Study: 29/05/2020 by Pastor Cynthia Ezika What is Commitment? ►Commitment comes with sacrifice, cost; resources of time, money, energy, etc It also means going the long haul ►We should be fully commited to God and Our commitment to God should be greater than our commitment to our families or anything else ►Our commitment to God reflects in our attitudes; if we are commited to God, we would be involved (participate) in the activities of God ►Being involved is different from being commited..You can be involved without being committed; but you can't commit without being involved... ►Committed people are more reliable and consistent inspite the challenges Joshua 24:15 ►God knows all our needs and wants and being fully commited to God doesnt hinder us from achieving all we desire. When we put Him first, all other things shall be given to us. Read Matthew 6:33 Sunday Sermon; 31/05/2020 by Pastor Jude Theme: Re-position Yourself ►The position you take with respect to your PURSUIT/GOAL in life, determines the level of success you attain ►We need to change our position in order to change our condition. We can not continue to do the same thing and expect different results ►We should not replace RESPONSIBILITY with unfounded SPIRITUALITY...There should be room for hardwork. 2 Chronicles 27: 6 ►Greatness does not come easily, it comes steadily and with hardwork, and this comes with preparedness, repositioning and making changes which at times cost us. The cost could be loosing negative associations and friends that pull us down and lead us astray; People/Friends who are not beneficial to us, prevent us from PROGRESSING. ►In order to be great or successful, we should be disciplined and we should keep away from many things: distractions, habits that draw us back or things and people that draw us back. Where you are positioned in life determines What you see, Who sees you and Who you see-these are so essential in our journey. 2 Corinthians 5:17 ►Sometimes the Key to our success can cost us to leave what we consider our "comfort zone", strong mindset , our environment, strong ties an Example is Abraham in Genesis 12, who had to leave his "comfort zone" for God to bless him. ►Incorrect positioning brings delay, hindrances, strife, enmity. We must reposition ourselves for God to bless us Genesis 13. ►Zacchaeus did not allow his shortness (height) to prevent him from seeing Jesus Christ, so he repositioned himself and was able to see Jesus Christ and Salvation came to his house. Luke 19 ►We should reposition ourselves: We must aspire to progress, work on our limitations, be of good character, quit bad company, abstain from bad habits, be disciplined reconstruct our mindsets, abstain from sinful traditions, reading/obeying the Bibe regularly and pray always.
